It is almost Thanksgiving here our Turkeys are used for guard duty with the 3 Pyrenees, and they work so they will have store bought for the family dinner. The weather was 32 degrees 3 days ago and 80 degrees today. The Alpacas are loving the weather, and their fiber is growing very well. Happy Thanksgiving.

We have 50+ layers with 4 roosters, 7 Guinea, 10 ducks and 1 goose. We produce fiber through our Alpacas that is used in making various products. If you have such a need we are open to attend with proper notice and planning.

Our herd of Alpacas and all our farm family are just that, family, they each have their own personality and each have a name not a number, each one holds a place in our heart and serve a purpose to make our farm self sufficient. If you have any questions about Alpacas or Featherz Nest give us a call, we are Ron and Cindy Richardson, hope you have a great day.

Well its been 44-45 degrees past couple days, with clouds and very little sunshine. Our herd is adjusting and have spent most of their time in the hay bales with our two guard dogs, Bella and Blue. The low tonight should be around 40 with a high around 40 Thursday and 20 for a low Friday evening. The Alpacas are sheared in April of each year and by December have a good coat built up so they are warm and toasty. The entire herd have been prancing and dancing the last couple day's and seem happy and content.
